Colors[]

Six colors are available for this car, they are unnamed in-game (although they were originally named in the Closed Beta version of GT Sport):

  • Gun Metallic
  • Clear Black
  • Blue Metallic
  • Green Metallic
  • Clear Orange
  • White

Description[]

Brand Central (GT7)[]

The base model used for this Gran Turismo Gr.4 original race car was the Volkswagen Scirocco. The small front splitter and rear wing are indicative of the modest approach to modifying the vehicle's exterior. The stability of an FF vehicle and the sharp cornering one expects from a Scirocco are both present here.

Acquisition[]

GT Sport[]

This car can be purchased in the Volkswagen section of Brand Central for 350,000 Credits. It can also be obtained by signing a Manufacturer Series contract with Volkswagen, which is valid for one Manufacturer Series season and allows the car to be used in Manufacturer Series races.

GT7[]

This car can be purchased in the Volkswagen section of Brand Central for 350,000 Credits. It can also be obtained by signing a Manufacturer Cup contract with Volkswagen, which is valid for one Manufacturer Cup season and allows the car to be used in Manufacturer Cup races.

Trivia[]

  • In GT Sport Closed Beta, the car originally had color names, and the white color was not yet available.
  • The car's bodywork (and the default livery) appears to be based on the Scirocco R-Cup cars, a one make series for the Volkswagen Scirocco.
    • The reason for the car's placement in Gr.4 class may also be inspired by the Volkswagen Scirocco GT24 (Volkswagen Motorsport) '08, although neither car share racing-specific body modification and the Gr.4 car is more powerful and lighter compared to the GT24, as it is based on the R-Cup cars.
  • The car uses OZ Racing Superturismo LM wheels, a wheel available in the Livery Editor.
  • In GT Sport, the car's wipers were placed on the right-hand drive position despite the car being a left-hand drive model. This error was later corrected in GT7.
  • Despite it being the base of this car, the road-going Scirocco never appeared in GT Sport; it was later included in GT7.
