The Top Gear Test Track is a racing course based at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey, England, and is used in the Power Laps and Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segments for the hit British television series Top Gear (2002-). The track is also used for testing the speed, acceleration, and handling of cars they feature in each episode.

The circuit is available in the video game Gran Turismo 5 for the PS3, making it the first circuit in Gran Turismo to feature a direct crossover (the same piece of track is used twice per lap). The circuit is known as Top Gear Test Track, not the alternative Dunsfold Park Circuit. Because of the crossover, it is wise to apply standard road rules-such as right-of-way-through the crossover, as blindly charging through without heeding the other drivers may lead to an accident, or, in the Top Gear Challenge, disqualification.

This circuit has not retuned to Gran Turismo since its maiden apperance, likely due to licensing problems.

Trivia[]

  • Like Special Stage Route 7, the Top Gear Test Track does not have a pitlane, thus making it impossible to refuel or change tires during a race.
