In-game Description[]

This description is taken from the NTSC version of Gran Turismo 2:

From its 1993 release until 1996, the immensely-popular Wagon R microvan was available only in 3-door models. The long-awaited 5-door FX limited therefore proved a huge hit when released. The 5-door series became part of the regular lineup with a minor model change in August of 1996, thereby solidifying the Wagon R's market status. Then, the Wagon R Column FT combined the 5-door model with a turbo engine and a column shift. In addition to a different overall body, featuring more roundly-shaped lights and grille, the Wagon R Column FT contains a more-powerful F6A SOHC 6-valve intercooled turbo engine with a maximum output of 63 hp at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 72 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm. In addition to a two-wheel drive with 4-speed automatic transmission, a four-wheel drive with 3-speed automatic transmission is also available. MacPherson strut front suspension is combined with ITL rear suspension. This model retains its predecessors' front disc brakes and drum rear brakes. The column shift provides greater legroom between the front seats, for an overall roomier interior. This is truly a car that keeps getting better with age.

Acquisition[]

GT2[]

This car can be bought at the Suzuki Used Cars Dealership in East City for around 9,000 Credits.

Trivia[]

All of the other Wagon R models in GT2 use the standard asymmetric bodyshell with two doors on the passenger side and one on the driver's side, while only this specific model uses the newer symmetric bodyshell with two doors on both sides, as listed in the car's description. However, the racing modification for the car reverts back to the asymmetric body.
