Gran Turismo 6
Special Stage Route 7 (or SS7) is a fictional circuit featuring in Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 6. It is a 14 mile long, ultra high-speed street circuit set on a Japanese-styled motorway. It appears to be greatly based on the Tokyo-Yokohama Highway route due to its long carpool tunnel, long straights, and tight twisty off ramps. SS7 also boasts a carbon copy of the Yokohama Bay Bridge as well as the Haneda Airport (Aqualine) tunnel. The circuit consists of two 6 mile straights, running down opposite carriageways of the same motorway, connected by two hairpin corners on each end of long straightaways. It is one of the longest racing tracks in the series, and ultimately replacing Gran Turismo's Test Course, making it ideal for high-powered vehicles that can possibly go well over 300 km/h. It passes through a long tunnel on both carriageways, and can also be raced in the wet.
Events featuring Special Stage Route 7Edit
Despite being featured in Gran Turismo 5, SS Route 7 does not hold any events in the game. It does, on occasion, host a Seasonal Event and can be raced online.
- Unlike Special Stage Routes 5 & 11, Special Stage Route 7 does not have a pit lane, making it impossible to refuel or change tires.
- Special Stage Route 7 is one of four Special Stage Routes in Gran Turismo, the others being 5, 11 and Special Stage Route X.
- If selecting full view by pausing the race, the map of the track appears to be relatively small, making it difficult to determine on how the map of the track looks like.
- Special Stage Routes 7 and 5 are connected via the first turn of Route 5 (tunnel), if you look to the right while approaching you will see signs indicating "Route 7".
