The Mazda RX-7 GT-X (FC) '90 is a road car produced by Mazda. Excluding Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec, the car has featured in every mainline Gran Turismo game. Although not initially available in Gran Turismo Sport, it was later introduced as part of Update 1.15, released on March 29, 2018.

The RX-7 evolved into its 2nd generation 'FC3S' in October of 1985.
The futuristic 2nd generation model was shorter in length, but was wider and taller than the first RX-7, with a weight increase of approximately 200 kg. this was covered for by the newly designed 13B engine. With the displacement capacity of each rotor enlarged to 654 cc and combined with a turbo, the performance was improved to a maximum output of 182.4 BHP and 25.0 kgfm of torque.
The rear suspension evolved into a multilink layout, with a combination of semi-trailing arms and lateral rods. The rear suspension featured a unique toe control hub, enhancing the stability of the rear tyres while cornering.
The FC3S series also features the Infini version, a limited edition model representative of a spartan driving style. The Infini was a high-performance, 2-seater model, omitting the rear seats and equipping BBS alloys, special shock absorbers, and an aluminium bonnet. The first Infiniti version appeared in August of 1986, but it was sold in limited releases seven times before production of the FC3S ended in 1991, and was a signature model of the RX-7.
In 1989, the RX-7 was given several minor changes. The 13B featured a new independent twin-scroll turbo and, with a high compression ratio, the power increased to 202.1 BHP and 27.5 kgfm of torque. The last model of Infiniti produced 212 BHP and 28.0 kgfm of torque. On the exterior, the three round tail lights were a distinct feature of models after the minor change.
In 1987, a cabriolet was also added as a different twist away from the normal spartan racing image. It was a success in the US, and especially popular among female drivers.
