The car appears to be the #10, driven by Hwang Jin-woo, who achieved a 3rd place finish in the 2004 BAT GT Championship.
"One of the star players in South Korean Motorsports which participated in the South Korean BAT GT Championship."
The Toyota Altezza (also known as the Lexus IS in the U.S.), with its relatively compact sport-sedan dimensions and rear-wheel drive configuration, made it an ideal candidate for endurance racing. And not long after the car's 1998 introduction, Toyota's in-house performance race shop operation, Toyota Racing Development (TRD), created a number of highly-competitive Altezza-based touring cars and sent them abroad to do battle in everything from the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) in the U.K. to South Korea's biggest motor racing series, the BAT GT.
In the GT1 class of the BAT GT, the Lexus IS 200 GT1 race car saw numerous competition upgrades, including a wider body (to 71.8 inches) and fatter tires. Other changes included an aerodynamic front spoiler, revised side skirts, a new rear diffuser and rear spoiler for better aerodynamics. The hood and fenders on the race car were composed entirely of carbon-fiber and helped bring the car's weight below the 1,010 kg limit.
Under its hood was the 3S-GE, a 2-liter inline-4 that, in endurance racing tune, pumped out 276 HP at 8,600 rpm with torque peaking at 180.8 ft-lb at 6,800 rpm. Power was routed to the rear wheels through a 6-speed sequential gearbox.
In its first year of competition in the South Korean series in 2004, the IS 200 GT1 scored a race victory in its inaugural season and took the BAT GT title the following year.

- In the Gran Turismo games, there are "Gran Turismo" logos above the car's number boxes and on the sunstrip sticker. These logos have been inserted as a replacement for the "British American Tobacco" logos used on the car in real life. It should be noted that "British American Tobacco" was the title sponsor of the competition where this car competed ("BAT" is indeed the acronym of "British American Tobacco").
