"The 2nd generation XKR has it all: great specs, acceleration, handling and beauty."
Jaguar's luxury XK series coupe underwent a full model change at the 2006 UK International Motor Show. It is the big cat that combines luxury and sports, a model that is very befitting the premium Jaguar brand image.
The high performance model of this XK is this XKR. And of course the styling of the XK series was created by Ian Callum, the renowned design director of Jaguar. As stated by the designer himself, in the traditional sports car-like long nose, short deck styling, lives visual agility and beautiful lines. It introduces modern detail into a classic silhouette.
The interior is of a very characteristic Jaguar design, tastefully combining high-quality leather and wood. And in the XKR, the driver's sports mind is motivated by the additional silver and black accents.
The engine is the 5L direct injection V8 introduced from the minor change in 2009, but in the XKR, a supercharger is combined with this to produce a supercar-like output of 503 HP. Thanks to the lightweight and rigid aluminum body, it handles quite well as a sports car, both in terms of acceleration and handling. Of course, nothing is detracted from the comfort in urban driving as you would expect from a Jaguar.
Though the top speed is limited to 155 mph electronically, the 0-62 mph acceleration is an impressive 4.8 seconds. Also, the XKR's exhaust has been tuned specifically to produce a racy exhaust note.
As a Premium car, the Jaguar XKR Coupe '10 can be purchased from the Dealerships for 155,000 Credits. It is a Level 10 car.
