This page is about hidden content found in a Gran Turismo game's resources. This includes unfinished versions of cars and tracks that made it into the final game, as well as hidden content which was scrapped but left in the game's files. We have collated as much information about it as can be found online. Please be advised that we do not recommend attempting to modify the game to be able to access this content, as doing so can make the game unstable. Editors: Please make sure that the content has been verified against the relevant The Cutting Room Floor page. Unverified information about hidden content may be removed. |
This page lists unused content in Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec. Unless otherwise noted, all content on this page are derived from this The Cutting Room Floor page.
Unused Cars[]
The following cars, while are not normally accessible, are still part of the final game and can be accessed with cheat devices.
- Lamborghini NOMAD Diablo GT-1 '00 (outside Japan, body removed in PAL release)
- Lancia STRATOS '73 (body removed in PAL release)
- Lancia STRATOS Rally Car '77 (body removed in PAL release)
- Alternate versions of the Mazda MX-5 (NA):
- A Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA Special Package) '89 with an offset Japanese license plate (roadster_89_opt)
- A Mazda Eunos Roadster S-Special Type I (NA) '95 with a roll cage and Japanese license plate (roadster_sspl_96)
- A Mazda Eunos Roadster SR-Limited (NA) '97 with roll cage and Gran Turismo license plate (roadster_sr_lmt_97_opt)
- Nissan SKYLINE GT-R M • spec (R34) '01
- Porsche 911 GT3 (996) '01 (body removed in PAL release)
It is worth noting that the cars above, with exception of the 911 GT3 and the Stratoses, can be semi-legitimately obtained by purchasing them from a memory card containing save data with at least one of the cars above in it.
The following cars do not have any mechanical parts:
- Alfa Romeo 156 touring car (as competed in 2000 European Super Touring Cup)
- TVR Cerbera Speed 6 '97 (as "Sample" bodies)
- McLaren MP4/13 (does not have a far LOD)
Additionally, data for the Vector M12 can be found in the demo disc builds, although it uses the body of a NA2 Honda NSX.
Unused Menu Graphics[]
Unused early menu "fliers" exists for the following race events:
- Sunday Cup
- Clubman Cup
- FF Challenge
- FR Challenge
- FF Challenge
- 4WD Challenge
- Lightweight Sports Car Cup
- Stars & Stripes
- Spider and Roadster (GT3)
- 80's Sports Car Cup
- Race of NA Sports
- Race of Turbo Sports
- Tourist Trophy (GT3)
- Legend of Silver Arrow (misspelled as "Legend of Silver Allow"; the typo remains in the small selection icon in the final game)
- Altezzza Race
- Vitz Race
- Type-R Meeting (GT3)
- Evolution Meeting
- Beetle Cup
A number of these early fliers feature imagery that does not match the intended race. For example, the fliers for FF and MR Challenge features a Toyota Altezza, a FR car, while Evolution Meeting features that of Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34)'s taillights. It should also be noted that the 4WD Challenge's flier features flavor text from the manual of the PowerBook G4.
