In-game description[]

The Focus ST is a highly regarded sports model of the Focus range that has been in the series line-up since the Focus debuted in 1998. The ST stands for 'Sports Technology'.

The 3rd generation Focus ST was announced at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The major change in terms of engineering on the car was that the engine was down-sized from a turbocharged 2.5L inline 5 cylinder based on a Volvo engine to an 'EcoBoost' turbocharged direct injection 2.0L inline 4 cylinder. This was, of course, to reduce CO2 emissions and improve fuel economy, but even with the 500 cc reduction in displacement the power was raised by 24 BHP up to 246 BHP. While many models have moved on to 2 pedal transmissions, this stoic model only comes in a 6-speed manual.

The car received a facelift in 2014 to become the late model but at the same time, suspension settings were completely revamped, the variable ratio of the power steering was changed, the stability program was updated and a torque vectoring system was added. Although it was in no way poorly regarded to begin with, Ford took the time to do a thorough update of the chassis.

As a result, its handling was regarded even higher by drivers and is the top class in the hot-hatch category of the C segment, its price being lower than its rivals. Even nearing the end of its model life, the car gathered the attention of European car aficionados one last time.

Brand Central (GT7)[]

The third generation Focus ST's engine can push 24.7 BHP more than its predecessor, reaching up to 246.5 BHP. This is a later model, produced after the line underwent some modifications in 2015. The suspension setting has been revised, and handling has been improved to allow for sharper turning. The design has also received a facelift, giving the Focus a thinner, more sporty feel.
