The BMW V12 LMR '99 is a race car produced by BMW. It appears in Gran Turismo 4, Gran Turismo PSP, Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 6.
The car appears to be the #15, driven by Joachim Winkelhock, Pierluigi Martini, and Yannick Dalmas, who has finished the 1999 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1st place overall.

In 1998, BMW teamed with the Williams Formula 1 team to develop the BMW V12 LM,[1] a 2-seat open-air race car. The new race car saw action right away as two V12LMs were entered in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. However, four hours after starting the race, a defect in the suspension caused both cars to retire. As a result, a new machine called the BMW V12 LMR was created.
With the problems of the previous year remedied and improvements made to the car's aerodynamics, the 1999 machine participated in the 12 Hours of Sebring, where it took the checkered flag, with Tom Kristensen, J.J. Lehto, and Jorg Muller behind the steering wheel. In June of the same year, two V12 LMRs entered the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car of Joachim Winkelhock, Pierluigi Martini, and Yannick Dalmas set the Le Mans record for 365 laps and winning the overall title. The other car, driven by Kristensen, Lehto and Muller was in the lead for two-thirds of the race, but was forced to retire before noon.
The BMW V12 LMR participated in the ALMS in 2000 with the team of Lehto and Muller winning two races. In the yearly drivers' rankings, Muller was 5th and Lehto 6th. In the series' Constructors' Championship, the BMW V12 LMR took 2nd overall.
