Alfa Romeo Automobiles S.p.A. is an Italian automaker founded on June 24, 1910 in Milan, Italy. Alfa Romeo has been a part of the Fiat Group since 1986, and since February 2007 a part of Fiat Group Automobiles S.p.A. The company was owned by Italian state holding company Istituto per la Ricostruzione Industriale between the end of 1932 to 1986. The company has been on the Gran Turismo Series since the Second installment (Gran Turismo 2).
In real life, it is known for having a rich motorsport heritage and manufacturing desirable cars (some of its past lineups are considered classic). It is also famous for its engines, notably its V6 engine which has excellent engine sound.
